We pride ourselves on the professionalism and dedication of our fully qualified and trained care workers, who have been assessed as competent to support people with personal care, by our own qualified assessors. The person they are supporting is the most important person, who receives their attention, time and compassion whilst they are with them in their own home. Our carers will bring a smile through the door and encourage the person to engage in every task, offering support and assistance, as required.

Personal Care relating to hygiene and toileting includes:

  • Washing, bathing and showering

  • Dressing

  • Promotion of independence

  • Promotion of social functioning

  • Anxiety & behaviour management

  • Social care needs assessment

  • Shaving

  • Toileting/continence care

  • Management of urinary and bowel functions

  • Promotion of continence

  • Management of incontinence

  • Assistance with cognitive functions

  • Medication administration & monitoring

  • Assistance with mobility/transfers

In providing personal care, staff will make every attempt to preserve your dignity and privacy at all times and will encourage you to be as self-caring as your condition allows. They will obtain your consent before each procedure.
